Azat Basyrov (1988, Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia) is a young contemporary artist, illustrator, and author of collages.
At the moment, the artist is engaged in the quest for his own style: “Every new project is something new for me, something really different from what I did before”. Basyrov is trying different techniques: drawing with graphite, experiments in the style of abstraction, attempts to come up with own techniques. More specifically, he is into “digital collage painting”, and the images in his works are composed of multiple color layers, each of which, finding itself next to another – be it a movie screenshot, a drawing, or a visual cliché – evokes different associations in the viewer.
